A Month of Shows Later
This was taken on the first night of this tour, over a month ago. Feels like a year.
I have learned so much on this trip — how to survive and stay healthy on the road, keys to songwriting, what it feels like to play your first arena show — and deepened connections with the places we passed through, the people that supported us, and of course my road family, the folks in my band. I can’t thank you all enough for your well wishes and encouragement on this tour and to all those who came out and spread the word about the shows.
I have lots of travel plans in 2016 and I hope I get to hang out with all of you.
Our touring starts again this weekend with two nights where we get to open for Blue Rodeo again — first a hometown show at Hamilton Place on Saturday, February 13 and then a Valentine’s Day concert the next night at Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa.
You can also catch us on CTV’s Canada AM on February 16, where we’ll close out the show.
Then we’re also circling back around Ontario on our own, with weekend stops in Sudbury (Feb 19), Elora (Feb 20), Guelph (Feb 26) and Peterborough (Feb 27). You can find details on the shows here.
Finally, we’re also getting ready to introduce Every Time My Mind Runs Wild to audiences outside Canada, starting with the United States — so we’ll be down in Texas showcasing our songs at South by Southwest March 16-20, 2016. If you’re in Austin that week, be sure to come out and say hi.
